Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard had quite a scare in Canberra as she had to be literally pulled to safety by security staff. Hundreds of angry protesters had surrounded a restaurant where she was handing out medals in commemoration of Australia Day. However, it’s believed that opposition leader Tony Abbott, not Gillard, was the target of the protests.
