The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers – AKA ICANN – has opened up the web for people who want customized top-level domains. Meaning instead of having a site ending in dot-com, it could end in, say, dot-NakedNews. It’s good news for banks and other corporations who fear scam artists, but it’s expensive. 185-thousand dollars per application, on top of a myriad of other costs.
