Thousands of Indonesians in Northern Sumatra have been forced out of their homes by a volcano that, until Sunday, had been dormant for more than 400 years. Mount Sinabung began rumbling last week, ‘causing concern that turned to panic when it erupted, spewing ash into the sky. On Monday an even bigger eruption has triggered a red alert – the highest possible for volcanic activity.
Man arrested after getting banker to change million dollar bill
A man was arrested in the United Arab Emirates after he convinced a bank teller to change two novelty US million dollar bills into local currency. The 44-year old suspect, known only as A-B, was detained carrying large sums of cash but insisted he did not know the million dollar notes had no actual value.
