The Russian foreign ministry is now playing down the arrests and has stated the incident will not negatively affect relations.
New top commander in Afghanistan warns of tough road ahead
US General David Petraeus who is set to take over command from General Stanley McChrystal, has warned of a quote – “industrial strength insurgency” in Afghanistan. Petraeus cautioned Americans to expect several more years of war in the region, and said the July 2011 deadline to begin troop withdrawals was highly flexible.
CNN confirms Larry King will depart CNN in the fall after 25 years on the air
Larry King is hanging up his suspenders for GOOD! CNN has confirmed that the veteran interviewer will LEAVE the news network to spend more time with his family. King insisted that the move was HIS decision and not the network’s. The final edition of Larry King Live will air this fall, after 25 years and more than 40 thousand interviews.
